Hallucination Validator

Hallucination Validator Logo

Overview

Hallucination Validator provides a post-generation integrity check for AI applications. It verifies facts, URLs, and code snippets generated by LLMs to ensure they are valid and functional before being presented to the user.

The Status Quo

LLMs are prone to "confident nonsense." They might invent a library that doesn't exist, provide a URL that returns a 404, or write code that has syntax errors. For user-facing AI products, these errors erode trust and usability.

Market Proposition

Automated QA for AI responses.

  • Link Checking: Extract URLs from the response and ping them to verify they are live (200 OK).
  • Code Syntax Check: Runs parsers on generated code blocks (JS, Python, Rust) to catch syntax errors.
  • Fact Verification: Can cross-reference specific claims against a ground truth knowledge base (optional).

Usage

import { Validator } from 'hallucination-validator';

const response = await llm.generate('How do I install npm-sentinel?');

const validator = new Validator();
const report = await validator.validate(response);

if (report.hasDeadLinks) {
  // Regenerate or fix links
}
